Friday, 8 March, is International Women\u2019s Day, with the theme being ‘Inspire Inclusion’.<\/p>\n

WIMR is proud to have strong representation of women throughout the institute in many forms:\u00a0 as employees (66%), as Research Leads (33%), Centre Directors (43%), Leadership Team (60%), Board representation (50%), and signficant success in achieving funding opportunities, representation and leadership on Committees.<\/p>\n

This provides an imperative voice in the WIMR community, ensuring our ongoing success and connection.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank, not only the women who inspire us every day, but also those within the team who support and encourage women in being the best versions of themselves by embracing opportunities available to them.<\/p>\n

This year, WIMR’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee sponsored tickets to the Future of Women in Western Sydney event. \u00a0Congratulations to Stephanie Lynch, Farhana Mollah, and Twingle Daniel who were nominated to attend and represent WIMR.\u00a0 We are looking forward to hearing the insights they share as part of our commitment to do more to improve equality.<\/p>\n

When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world.
\nAnd when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.
