Precision medicine stands to revolutionise clinical practice and drastically improve success rates and patient outcomes.<br \/>\nThe conference will begin with a keynote presentation from Dr Luhan Yang, Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at eGenesis. Named in\u00a0<em>Fortune<\/em>\u00a0magazine\u2019s \u201c40 Under 40 Influential People in Health, 2020\u201d, this will be a fascinating start to the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The Honourary Gabrielle Upton (Parliamentary Secretary to the NSW Premier) as well as Professor Hugh Durrant-Whyte (NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer) will also join the conference. They will discuss the NSW Government\u2019s plan to accelerate research and development, and how this relates to Westmead.<br \/>\nOther confirmed speakers include Australia\u2019s leaders in precision medicine. Just some of these speakers include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professor Philip O\u2019Connell \u2013 Westmead Institute for Medical Research<\/li>\n<li>Professor Roger Reddell \u2013 Children\u2019s Medical Research Institute<\/li>\n<li>Professor Ian Alexander \u2013 Kids Research and Children\u2019s Medical Research Institute<\/li>\n<li>Professor Christopher Goodnow \u2013 Garvan Institute of Medical Research<\/li>\n<li>Associate Professor Germaine Wong \u2013 Kids Research<\/li>\n<li>Professor Alicia Oshlack \u2013 Peter MacCallum Institute<\/li>\n<li>Professor Anna deFazio \u2013 Westmead Institute for Medical Research<\/li>\n<li>Dr Denis Bauer \u2013 CSIRO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference will also feature presentations by students and early career researchers, and a virtual poster session.<\/p>\n<p>A fantastic panel discussion will wind-up the conference, facilitated by ABC National Medical Reporter Sophie Scott.
